Raiders Swim Club Buys Beavercreek YMCA

The YMCA of Greater Dayton announced today that it reached an agreement with the Dayton Raiders Swim Club to sell the Beavercreek YMCA (Y) facility to the organization. The Beavercreek Y facility will close on April 22, 2013. The Dayton Raiders Swim Club will take over the facility May 1, 2013.

Beavercreek YMCA For Sale with Potential Buyer

Local media are reporting that the Beavercreek YMCA is for sale, has a potential buyer and is in active negotiations regarding that sale. The Beavercreek YMCA has a one paragraph announcement on their website that references the report and says “The Dayton Y is in active discussions with a potential buyer for the Beavercreek facility. If an agreement is reached, it will be our priority to communicate with our Beavercreek members first.” > Read More

School Board Votes “No” on May School Levy

Today was the deadline to put a school levy on the May ballot, but on January 17 The Beavercreek Board of Education decided to pass on the opportunity. If it had gone on the ballot, a school levy would have shared the ballot with the City of Beavercreek’s controversial Income Tax measure and may have suffered from the two tax increase measures being presented to voters. > Read More
