New Parks Consolidation Levy on Ballot

A new proposed 5 year, 1.4 mill levy for parks is on the ballot this November. The new 1.4 mill parks levy would fund parks under a newly formed Beavercreek Township Parks District. The new levy would provide funding to maintain 36 parks and facilities in Beavercreek and since parks would be consolidated under a new agency, the levy would offset some state cuts made to the city and remove the city’s funding responsibility for the Senior Center. The new 1.4 mill parks levy would cost taxpayers an additional $43 per $100,000 of appraised property value annually.

Back To School, Back to School Levies

Beavercreek Schools return to ballot in November with a proposed 6.7 mill levy after previous levy attempts have failed. The schools reasons for the new levy include state cuts, increased enrollment, healthcare costs, new buildings and more. If the new 6.7 mill school levy passes, 1.5 would go to new buildings, 2.0 to offset state cuts and 3.2 to maintain current services. The new 6.7 mill school levy would cost taxpayers an additional $205.19 per $100,000 of appraised property value annually.
