The Knot suggests the usual etiquette rule is to send thank you cards no more than 3 months after the wedding, but the royals totally get a pass.

A source close to the family said: 'There was a very heated exchange that prompted the Queen to speak to Harry.

The former Suits star, now 37, eventually wore a diamond and platinum headpiece selected by the Queen.

During the event, the audience watched performances from Harry and Meghan's wedding choir Kingdom Choir alongside the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and the Band of HM Royal Marines.

It emerged yesterday that the Queen had to step in when Meghan demanded a tiara containing green emeralds, which may have come from Russian Federation.

Markle opted for a more subtle-looking poppy pin, while her family members donned the bright red brooch.

However, Meghan's decision not to wear a hat apparently caused a stir in the royal household at the time.

"Meghan and Harry, who want to use their platform and profile to further their humanitarian and charitable interests, want to pass on those same values to their children", the source said.

"In the same way that her husband has to psychologically prepare to become King, Camilla must prepare for the day she becomes Queen Consort and as part of her preparations, she is starting to make more appearances alongside the Queen".

The personal assistant is believed to have limited the PR damage after Markle's father Thomas was caught in a photo faking scandal before the royal wedding.

Meghan recently announced that she was pregnant.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out with Kate Middleton and Prince William to attend the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday.
