A charge of drunk driving against state lawmaker Jarrod Martin has been dropped by the prosecutor for Jackson County. The charges led many to call for Martin’s resignation, but Martin maintained his innocence throughout the affair.

Martin was pulled over for a traffic violation back in July for failing to have proper lighting on a trailer he was hauling. During the stop, the officer felt Martin may be intoxicated which led to the OVI charge. Martin refused to take a breathilizer test which led to the suspension of his license pending the court case. Martin did plead guilty to the traffic violation was fined $150 plus court costs.
