A fire believed sparked by lightning destroyed one of the buildings at Beavercreek’s Promendade Apartments. The building housed 22 units. The fire has displaced over 50 people and the building is being considered a total loss.

The Promenade Apartment Homes complex is located at this intersection of Grange Hall Road and Pentagon Park Boulevard. The complex has 11 buildings total located off Saffron Lane. The lightning strike is believed to have occurred sometime around 4:00 pm Monday, August 17.

The fire was located mainly in the upper floor and roof of the three story building. The extensive amount of water used to extinguish the fire is said to have caused so much damage that the building is considered a complete loss.
