Photo Feature: Each year during the cold months of winter, the wetland areas in Beavercreek offer a stunning visual treat as the waters freeze and new details emerge.
It can be said that each year during the winter months, the wetland areas in Beavercreek put on a show. Motorists along Research Park Boulevard, where these photos were taken, could take in that show, but only at the risk of looking away from the road while traveling 50 miles an hour. For all those who’ve wanted a better look, we present this special winter photo series.

Reminders of the Past
Stumps of trees long since gone poke up through the ice. Perhaps a beaver fell some of these trees. The stump in the foreground has the look of the work of a beaver. Photo © Craig Barhorst
