“The Wright Way to Fly”, a free program from the Beavercreek Historical Society exploring the importance of Huffman Prairie and the Wright Flying School will be presented January 23 at 7 pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton-Xenia Rd.

Dawne Dewey, Head of Special Collections and Archives at Wright State University will present the program “The Wright Way to Fly”, a slide presentation and discussion focused on the importance of Huffman Prairie and the Wright Flying School in aviation history.


The Beavercreek Historical Society invites the public to attend this free program and learn more about Dayton’s early role in the history of powered flight.

Dawne Dewey has spoken about the Wright Brothers at the Smithsonian and in France. She has served as the consultant for grant projects, educational publications, and films, all relating the the Wright Brothers. She has written numerous articles, delivered presentations, and created exhibits on a variety of Wright Brothers related topics.*
